Does the import use AI to guess my columns?

No. Matching is fully deterministic — normalized labels, keys, and curated alias sets. No AI, no guesswork: the same file always produces the same result. Before anything is written, a review step shows every match for you to confirm, re-point, or ignore.

What if my file has more than 2,000 rows?

Split it and run consecutive imports — the limit is 2,000 rows per file, not per account. The template stays the same, so repeat runs take seconds. Even long histories move in one evening.

What happens to rows that fail?

Every run ends with a clean report of how many rows came in. Skipped rows download as a CSV file — fix them and upload again. If the cause is a plan limit, the check runs per row, the partial run is reported cleanly, and upgrading is one click away.

Do I need to reformat dates and currencies from my old system?

No. Server-side transforms recognize Excel serial dates, EU and US date formats, currency symbols, and country names, and convert them into clean values. No manual reformatting is needed for those cases.

How does importing work?

Each lane below opens the real door for that kind of data. Template imports take three steps: download the template, fill it in (or carry your file's columns over), and upload it. Before anything is saved you see how every column was recognised, and a row with an error is skipped with its reason. A row without the “Cove ID” column is added as a new record — duplicates are not detected, so don't upload the same file twice. A row carrying the “Cove ID” of an export updates its record.
